1)Who are you, what do you do, where are you from and how's your life related to Subbuteo?
Who am I? I am a man, a human being. I work in the Administration field in the Rome city centre. I adore the seaside and the mountain. I played Subbuteo for several years in the eighties and I have took it back from few years.
2)What's your first memory about Subbuteo ? (your first time)
A young doctor called Carlo who used to live close to my mountain house..He came to my front door during a rainy day holding the infamous Green Cloth on a weekend. It was raining a lot outside so we locked ourselves in the house without having any idea of how to spend the time. It all started from that point! It was 1978. I remember it because of the Argentina World Cup and also because it was our Training year. We started playing the Libertadores Cup since 1979!
I am a collector and a player.
5)Can you tell us the positive and negative aspects of the Subbuteo World?
I don't know. I can't find any negative aspects of Subbuteo. I think many young people should play Subbuteo. It's a game which can be educational and also to learn about the "Fair Play".
7)Parlaci delle tempistiche per la costruzione del tuo fantastico Stadio e della parte piu' difficile nel farlo! Se puoi dare qualche consiglio utile fai pure!
7)Tell us more about the time you spent to build your amazing Stadium and about the difficulties in making it! If you want feel free to give some useful advice!
I could only work on it during the weekends so that's why it took about a year to make it but it's still in development and getting better and better. The lights'system is inspired by the Porto Alegre Beira Rio Stadium.

1)Chi Sei, cosa fai e perche' la tua vita e' correlata al Subbuteo ?
Chi sono? Un uomo; un essere umano. Lavoro in pieno Centro a Roma e mi occupo diAmministrazione. Adoro il mare e la montagna. Ho giocato per molti anni a Subbuteo negli anni ’80 e ho ripreso da qualche anno.

2)Qual'e' il tuo primo ricordo del Subbuteo ? (La tua prima volta)
Un giovane medico, Carlo, che abitava sopra casa mia in montagna.. ..un giorno si presentò con il mitico panno verde in un weekend piovoso. Fuori pioveva e eravamo chiusi in casa senza sapere come passare il tempo; iniziò tutto da lì.

4)Hai mai partecipato ad eventi Subbuteo? Se SI , quali? Hai mai vinto premi ?
Ho partecipato ad un evento a Fiumicino (Roma) anni addietro con alcuni giocatori del “Black Rose”.I trofei vinti, si veda la foto dello stadio con alcune coppe (4 Intercontinetali, 5 Libertadores, 3 Copa America, 1 World Cup, ecc.), sono trofei “zonali” e vinti in piccole competizioni che facevamo nella Alta Valle dell’Aniene (Roma/Frosinone).
4)Did you ever take part in Subbuteo events?If YES,which ones? Have you ever won any prize?
I took part in an event in Fiumicino(Rome) years ago playing along with some of the Black Rose players. You can see in the Stadium pictures some cups ( 4 Intercontinental,5 Libertadores,3 Copa America,1 World Cup,etc.) but they all are "zone" prizes won in small tournaments we used to organize in the Alta Valle dell'Aniene(Rome/Frosinone)

5)Principali aspetti positivi e negativi del Mondo Subbuteo ?
Non so. Non riesco a trovare aspetti negativi nel Subbuteo. Credo che molti giovani dovrebbero giocare a Subbuteo; per me è un gioco che può formare molto, trasmette molto “fair play”.

6)Qual'e' la tua squadra preferita? La piu' rara (secondo te) ?
Ho molte squadre (HW, LW, Santiago HW, ecc.) e sinceramente non è facile scegliere tra tante. Ho sempre avuto il debole per le squadre sudamericane; potrei dire che forse la migliore era l’Uruguay HW.
6)What's your favourite team ? What's the rarest one?
I have many teams (Hw,Lw,Santiago HW,etc.) and it's not easy to just pick one up amongst them. I've always had a thing for the South American teams, so I would say that the best one was the Uruguay HW.

Ho potuto lavorare sullo Stadio solo nei weekend e quindi ci ho messo circa un anno per terminarlo; e sinceramente è in perenne miglioramento. L’effetto luminoso della copertura “a spicchi” (idea ripresa dalla copertura luminosa dello Stadio Beira Rio di Porto Alegre) mi ha fatto perdere molto tempo.

8)Cosa ne pensi delle versioni Subbuteo come LA LEGGENDA e come quelle che stanno uscendo in Edicola ? Qual'e' il decennio di produzione della storia del Subbuteo che preferisci ?e Perche'?
Sono molto legato alle produzioni storiche; quindi: HW e LW. Le HW: più pesanti; le LW: più leggere. Sinceramente non saprei quale scegliere; le LW sono molto adatte per lo spinning ma le HW producono migliori pallonetti.
8)What do you think about the Leggenda teams or others coming out in all the newsstands? Which is your favourite Subbuteo Production decade?
My favourite ones are definitely the historical productions so Hw and LW. I don't know which one to choose. The LW are better for spinning while the HW are better for lobs.
