Road to Russia World Cup 2018! It's almost time and We tell you what WE think about the groups!
GROUP A :
Russia - Saudi Arabia - Egypt - Uruguay
Let's say that the results of this group will mainly depends on the presence of Mohammed Salah in the Egypt. If he will manage to play at his best level then the Egyptians might pull off a surprising qualification but as things stand right now we believe that Russia and Uruguay have the abilities to make it to the next phase.
Eyes on:
Russia: Smolov Fedor (F), Dzagoev Alan (M), Kudryashov Fedor (D)
Saudi Arabia: Al-Sahlawi Mohammed (F), Al-Shehri Yahya (M), Hawsawi Osama (D)
Egypt: Salah Mohamed (F), Shikabala (M), Fathi Amed (D)
Uruguay: Cavani Edinson (F), De Arrascaeta Giorgian (M), Godin Diego (D)
GROUP B :
Portugal - Spain - Morocco - Iran
Despite many people believe that Portugal might be a disappointment WE believe that they will make it through the next stage instead. Some journalists are pointing their fingers out to Morocco as a group's surprise. We will have to wait and see but for us Spain and Portugal will be fine.
Eyes on:
Portugal: Cristiano Ronaldo (F), Bruno Fernandes (M), Guerreiro Raphael (D)
Spain: Asensio (F), Thiago Alcantara (M), Azpilicueta Cesar (D)
Morocco: El Kaabi Ayoub (F), Ziyech Hakim (M), Benatia Medhi (D)
Iran: Azmoun Sardar (F), Jahanbakhsh Alireza (M), Hosseini Majid (D)
GROUP C :
France - Australia - Peru' - Denmark
France will easily go on probably. The team even seemed pretty solid in the recently International Friendly clash against Italy. The other team which has high probabilities to keep going is Denmark. We don't see how Australia and Peru' can upset the prediction but we always love the Soccer World even because of incredible surprises.
Eyes on:
France: Mbappe Kylian (F), Pogba Paul (M), Umtiti Samuel (D)
Australia: Cahill Tim (F), Mooy Aaron (M), Sainsbury Trent (D)
Peru': Farfan Jefferson (F), Carrillo Andre' (M), Ramos Christian (D)
Denmark: Jorgensen Nicolai (F), Eriksen Christian (M), Stryger Larsen (D)
GROUP D :
Argentina - Iceland - Croatia - Nigeria
This is going to be a tough one because on papers Argentina and Croatia are definitely the best and WE believe they are destined to make it through the next phase but WE do believe both Nigeria and Iceland might make some sort of upset in this group.
Eyes on:
Argentina: Messi Lionel (F), Banega Ever (M), Fazio Federico (D)
Iceland: Gudmundsson Albert (F), Sigurdsson Gylfi (M), Arnason Kari (D)
Croatia: Pjaca Marko (F), Modric Luka (M), Vrsaljko Sime (D)
Nigeria: Iwobi Alex (F), Moses Victor (M), Shehu Abdullahi (D)
GROUP E :
Brazil - Switzerland - Costa Rica - Serbia
No doubts about Brazil and Serbia. They are just superior to their opponents but it will be interesting to see which team will finish last.
Eyes on:
Brazil: Neymar (F), Douglas Costa (M), Marcelo (D)
Switzerland: Seferovic Haris (F), Dzemaili Blerim (M), Lichtsteiner Stephan (D)
Costa Rica: Campbell Joel (F), Ruiz Bryan (M), Gamboa Christian (D)
Serbia: Ljajic Adem (F), Milinkovic-Savic (M), Ivanovic Branislav (D)
GROUP F :
Germany - Mexico - Sweden - Korea Republic
Germany will be strolling in a park here but WE think that both Korea and Mexico might push out the Sweden which is definitely favourite on papers.
Eyes on:
Germany: Werner Timo (F), Ozil Mesut (M), Kimmich Joshua (D)
Mexico: CHICHARITO (F), Herrera Hector (M), Salcedo Carlos (D)
Sweden: Berg Marcus (F), Forsberg Emil (M), Lindelof Victor (D)
Korea Republic: Son Heung-Min (F), Lee JS (M), KIM YG (D)
GROUP G :
Belgium - Panama - Tunisia - England
There should be no surprises here. Belgium and England will definitely want to get some glory in this world cup and they must be focused on showing off all their talents since they both didn't do amazing in the recent years even if their teams are strong enough to go far in the competition. The other teams will probably be sparring partners.
Eyes on:
Belgium: Mertens Dries (F), De Bruyne Kevin (M), Meunier Thomas (D)
Panama: Perez Blas (F), Quintero Alberto (M), Torres Roman (D)
Tunisia: Sliti Naim (F), Ben Amor (M), Ben Youssef Syam (D)
England: Vardy Jamie (F), Alli Dele (M), Stones John (D)
GROUP H :
Poland - Senegal - Colombia - Japan
This is definitely the most interesting group which means almost everything can happen here! Well almost because WE give one spot almost sure to Poland but how's about the second one? Well WE see Colombia well but be careful to the super fast Japanese teama and the surprise Senegal!
Eyes on:
Poland: Lewandowski Robert (F), Zielinski Piotr (M), Bereszynski Bartosz (D)
Senegal: Sakho Diafra (F), N'Doye Cheikh (M), Koulibaly Kalidou (D)
Colombia: Bacca Carlos (F), Rodriguez James (M), Murillo Oscar (D)
Japan: Okazaki Shinji (F), Honda Keisuke (M), Nagatomo Yuto (D)
