No Uruguayan players were able to tap-in the sphere in goal.Very frustrated and sad the reaction of Salah sitting on the bench. Remarkable the Godin's performance. Very confident back there.
Not much more from the first half in Morocco Vs Iran even if the match intensity is higher than the first one. Time for serious business in the evening. Spain Vs Portugal. You all know the kind of chaos Spain went through firing Lopetegui because of his Real Madrid's contract and calling in Fernando Hierro. Unfortunately this wasn't a great time especially when Cristiano Ronaldo is on fire. It took only few minutes(4')for CR7 to conquer a penalty and scoring it. D.Silva tried to equalize at 8' quickly but his shot was far over the bar! Such a great chance! It's again the striker who tried to fix the situation but the Portughese saved in corner at 20'. The minute after the Portugal missed a huge opportunity in counter-attack. The Spain was all over the place and indeed they found the 1-1 with Diego Costa who aggressively attacked Pepe before dribbling the rest of the defenders and shooting a low ball in the net. After couple of minutes there was a HUGE bar and then save by Rui Patricio after a Isco's firecracker! The Spanish kept pushing the opponents in their part of the field only conceding few counter-attacks well controlled by Sergio Ramos and co. A fine Rui Patricio did the rest! At 43' guess who scored again ?! CR7 obviously this time it was a very powerful strike which brought down the value of De Gea. The Manchester United claimed to be the best in the world incredibly let the Cristiano shot going in. The keeper lack of attention at this level is simply unforgivable! 1-2 at the first half! The second half started with high intensity again but it's Spain that found another equalizer thanks to a great Set piece scheme finalized by Diego Costa for the 2-2 at 55'.
