Hi all! Every season it just gets more and more interesting! It's totally impossible to get bored about it!
After 3 years of Chelsea domination in the Premier League we are back at it !! We lifted our 30th title!!! If you follow us you do know that we had very big problems in the past 4 season even if we managed to surprisingly win the Champions League in 2069-2070(past season).
Other teams got very strong and our top players got old and sloppy. After this very suffered season, as you can see in the below picture, we decided to face the upcoming 2071-2072 doing a big revolution. Selling 4 top players on the verge of their 30ies years old and bring in some fresh faces, few of them to put in the First team directly! It's the right thing to do even if the fans are not liking much the fact that we got rid of people that had more than 350 matches wearing the Foxes shirt. But guys, this is business and if we don't bring in prizes in the cabinet, we gonna get sacked! So the Santaniello Arena will definitely have to back the management up on this!
The season started perfectly , destroying the Hammers 6-0 in the European Super Cup! Unfortunately they gave us the "favour" back, kicking us out of the Champions League at the Quarter Finals (1-1/3-1). Rather disappointing but we must say that 3 of our top strikers were injured so it has been harder than usual to score goals for a while. We are still using our beloved 3-4-1-2 but we are considering to change something VERY SLOWLY. It's too dangerous to suddenly change tactics and formations. We can't risk too much at this point. But we will keep you posted. We are noticing that, even if we score a lot, we still concede too many goals. We are thinking of introducing the Defensive Midfielder to guard the back and lead the first pass to the midfielders or eventually deliver deeply to the strikers.
Worth to mention we also lifted our 14th Club World Championship!
Talking about the Uruguay National Team , We also played the Copa America 2071 hosted by Colombia. We didn't do great in the group finishing 3rd behind Brazil and Ecuador but we still manage to make it to the Quarter Finals were we beat Colombia for 2-1. But we have been very lucky there. The Uruguayans are definitely missing something in the defensive zone. The game is not delivering any great talent so the National team is struggling but somehow we made it till the Semi-Finals where we got beaten by Ecuador for 1-0 (they scored 10 minutes to the Final whistle). We also lost the 3rd place Final by the hands of Argentina for 2-1. However the board was excited about reaching so far so we guess our spot on the bench is safe! So we are ready to face the upcoming World Cup qualification group!
We would like to remind you that we still never won any title as National Team manager. We did reach 2 finals managing Italy and we won a SuperClasico leading Brazil. That's all! So we still can't wait to win something using a National Team! Are we going to make it!? we will see! Keep following us!
