Today we start with two very distant from each other countries! Colombia Vs Japan! In theory should have not been a big deal for Colombia but the start for the South American was a nightmare. Ball lost by a defender and Yuya Osako fired towards the keeper Ospina who made a great save but on the rebound Kagawa shot again this time meeting Sanchez arm who intentionally stopped  the ball in order to save the goal. The referee had no doubts! Penalty and red card for Sanchez! The penalty was scored by Kagawa at 6'. Japan seemed to have much more confidence playing with one man more than then opponents even if Falcao had his chance at 11' but neutralized by Kawashima. Couple of more chances wasted by the Japanese but at 40' a very intelligent set piece by Juan Quintero brought the match on 1-1 ( Some doubts on the referee call anyway; the foul on Falcao wasn't THAT clear) ! His low shot went directly under the human wall and surprised the keeper too who was almost about to save it! Shy protests shut off in a blink of an eye by the referee. First half ended up this way. Great save by Ospina at 52' on a Yuya Osako close range shot! Nothing happened in the consequent corner kick. This was the first chance in the second half. Only 6 minutes after the Colombian keeper had to make another save but at this moment the South Americans are suffering too much. Guess they are starting to feel the 10 men on the pitch difference. We cannot really judge Colombia from this match. Being in 10 men after 3 minutes in a World cup it's not a normal situtation. Indeed at 74' Japan even got the lead with a header by Yuya Osako who finally scored after trying all he could. 1-2. From that moment the Colombia went in Overload offensive trying the desperation attacks but the James Rodriguez attempt was saved by Osako on the line! The Japanese did it all today! 1-2 was the final result! Such a surprise but let's not forget the starting handicap.

The following match was an interesting Poland-Senegal. So many basic mistakes in this match in the first 45 minutes. A huge lack of precision by both teams but everything went on pretty balanced and with no great dangers until the powerful Gueye's shot deflected completely by Cionek so it has to be considered own goal for the

0-1. Szczesny couldn't do anything about it. Senegal mostly used their physical power while Poland didn't take advantage of the superior quality of their team till then. The second half wasn't much different and actually Senegal increased the pressure and the intensity. Not many dangerous chances but as soon as they got another one they scored the 0-2 ! Awful coming out of Szczesny far away from the box and Niang anticipated everyone running all alone with an empty goal and placing the ball in easily. Poland wasn't just on the pitch at all. Milik and Zielinski have been absolutely useless just like almost the whole team. They casually scored the 1-2 on a set piece action. A header by Grzegorz Krychowiak at 86'. Harmless were the last attempts till the end of the match. 1-2 which is rather surprising as well! Positive performance by Mane , Koulibay and company!

That wrapped up the first match for all teams in World Cup but the competition is no stop so we already have the second match fixture starting with Russia against Egypt with Salah starting from the 1' minute after the injury he got during the last Champions League Final against Real Madrid. Few attempts by Chernyshev and the big Dzyuba but their mistakes, a solid Mohamed El-Shenawy (Egypt goalkeeper) and a good Hegazi stopped the Russian. Actually Egypt did create few chances and maybe the most dangerous in the first half. Few interesting crosses came into the Russia box and when Salah found himself with his back towards the keeper he rapidly rotate and shoot without thinking and he went very close to score! First half ended on 0-0. A bit disappointing till that time. The second half started perfectly for Russia which found a very fortune goal thanks to Fathy (own goal) who unfortunately put the ball behind his own keeper over a weird and powerful shot by Zobnin! 1-0 at 47'. At 59' Russia practically put a stamp on the qualification scoring the 2-0 with Cheryshev! Egypt was falling apart and at 62' Dzyuba stopped the ball, turned towards the keeper and made it 3-0! A little hope is given to Egypt thanks to the VAR intervention and a penalty kick scored by Mohamed Salah at 73'! They couldn't do more than that. 3-1 was the final result and Russia now leads his group and it's practically in for the next stage already!
